This was a commissioned piece to offer a European image for CWM. The refugee and migrant issues were in my mind. The padlock of fear is opened by the good news. But we remain so easily swayed by the evils of inhumanity that turn sisters and brothers into numbers and threats. We can seem to want a fortress Europe to keep the world at bay. That isn't what God desires for us at all.
